Quality Management
Actco's Quality Management System, which complies with the requirements of the ISO 9001 standards, is for all staff, a solid baseline to which they must adhere and from which they are encouraged to seek opportunities for continuous improvement.
Quality is not to be compromised and Actco management supports and encourages all team efforts to achieve and maintain the highest levels of customer/client satisfaction.
Quality Objectives and Scope
Actco has developed a Quality Management System that aims to better satisfy the needs of its customers and to improve its own management processes.
The scope of the Quality Management System includes all Building and Civil Engineering Contracting Services. Quality Management embraces organisation, responsibilities and authorities, work methods and resources. The system was implemented with a view to achieve and maintain a quality of service that is commensurate with Actco 's quality objectives and with customers' expectations.

Health, Safety & Enviroment
Actco is committed to continual improvement in the standards of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) in all operations and activities, including those of its clients, sub-contractors and suppliers. The Company has achieved this objective by establishing its own HSE Management System, Policies and Procedures, and by Identifying reasonable, obtainable and measurable HSE objectives and ensuring that all employees are aware of Actco's commitment to these objectives. Developing an HSE program/plan that identifies who are responble for delivering the HSE objectives. Implementing and improving safe working practices and methods, conducting periodic audits and management reviews, encouraging employees participation and effective communication and pursuing careful selection and training of personnel at all levels to ensure that they instruct or carry out work in a safe manner. Recording, monitoring and analyzing HSE accidents or incidents throughout the Company and taking all necessary measures to prevent recurrence and eliminate or control all hazards. Monitoring the use of hazardous materials and, their use where possible, utilizing safer alternatives so as to ensure the minimum impact on people and the environment. Complying with the United Arab Emirates laws and legislations, codes of practice and the HSE international standards. Cooperating with Clients to achieve performance improvements throughout all of the Company's activities. It is also worthmentioning that Actco has been continuously recognized by its clients for high safety standards and has obtained many awards for excellent performance. The most recent award was from Zakum Development Company (ZADCO), which was the Health, Safety & Environment Shield for the year 2004.
